What is my institute's role in the application process?
  • Circulate this opportunity at the earliest to all eligible Civil Engineering students
  • Nominate a single faculty coordinator to act as point of contact for NHAI and AICTE
  • Verify that students are bona fide Civil Engineering students
  • Approve or reject applications based on verification
Who is eligible to apply from my institute?

Eligibility Criteria:

Full-time undergraduate/postgraduate students (final year) enrolled in the following engineering/technology and related disciplines:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Instrumentation Engineering
  • Data Science / Artificial Intelligence and related disciplines

  • MA in HR / Industrial Relations & Personnel Management

How do I access the institute portal login? Visit the NHAI Internship Portal → Click Institute Login → Enter registered institute email and password (provided by NHAI). Use Forgot Password if required. Contact NHAI helpdesk if credentials are not received.
What information will I see for each student application?
  • Personal details (name, contact, email)
  • Academic details (roll number, year, CGPA)
  • College information (program, graduation year)
  • Uploaded documents (marksheet, ID proof, resume, photo)
  • Application status
How do I approve or reject a student application? Log in → Navigate to Pending Applications → Verify student details and documents → Click Recommend or Not Recommend.

Important: Only institute-approved applications will be considered for shortlisting by NHAI.
What if a student's application has discrepancies? Contact the student promptly requesting clarification and ask them to resubmit corrected documents. Review updated application and approve if satisfied.
Will students' participation count towards academic requirements? At the discretion of your Institute.
How many students from my institute can apply? No limit on student applications. NHAI selects based on merit and project availability.
How do I communicate with NHAI? Portal helpdesk (email/phone on portal homepage). Response time typically within 24 business hours. Monitor announcements and FAQs.
